    Frequently asked questions

    What is fennel seed tea?

It is a herbal infusion made by steeping fennel seeds in hot water. This product contains the seeds themselves, rather than powder or extract.

What does fennel tea taste like?

Fennel has a gently sweet, aromatic flavour often compared with aniseed or liquorice. It does not contain liquorice root.

Does fennel seed tea contain caffeine?

Pure fennel seed is naturally caffeine free.

Should I crush fennel seeds before brewing?

Lightly crushing the seeds helps release their aroma. Crush only what you need for your next brew.

Can I use these fennel seeds in cooking?

Yes. Use them as a spice in breads, sauces or savoury dishes, adjusting the quantity to taste.

Is fennel the same as aniseed?

No. Fennel and aniseed come from different plants, although their flavours share similar notes.

    How should I store it?

Keep sealed in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, strong odours and moisture. Use a dry spoon and follow the best before date on your pack.
