Lavender Flower Tea

Dried lavender flowers bring a distinctive floral aroma to your tea cupboard. Brew a light infusion or use a small amount in your own loose leaf blends. The flavour is fragrant and floral, so start gently.

Brew

Start with a quarter to half a teaspoon of flowers per 250 mL freshly boiled water. Cover and steep for 3 to 5 minutes, then strain through a fine mesh infuser.

Drink

Enjoy a light cup on its own or add a small pinch to chamomile or rooibos. Dilute with hot water if the floral flavour is too strong.
