    Frequently asked questions

    What is lemon myrtle tea?

It is a herbal infusion made from the leaves of lemon myrtle, an Australian native plant. It is different from lemon peel and lemongrass.

What does lemon myrtle tea taste like?

It has a strong lemon aroma and a bright citrus flavour. Start with a light brew because a little leaf goes a long way.

Does lemon myrtle tea contain caffeine?

Pure lemon myrtle leaf is naturally caffeine free. Any caffeine in a blend would come from other ingredients.

Is lemon myrtle the same as lemongrass?

No. They come from different plants. Both have citrus notes, but lemon myrtle has its own distinctive aroma.

Can I blend lemon myrtle with other teas?

Yes. Try a small amount with rooibos or ginger and adjust to taste.

Can I make iced lemon myrtle tea?

Yes. Brew with hot water first, strain, cool promptly and refrigerate. Serve over ice.

    How should I store it?

Keep sealed in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, strong odours and moisture. Use a dry spoon and follow the best before date on your pack.
