Add 1 level teaspoon of cut ginger to 250 mL freshly boiled water. Cover and steep for 10 minutes, or gently simmer for a stronger flavour. Strain before serving and adjust the strength to taste.

    Drink

    Frequently asked questions

What is organic ginger root tea made from?

It contains only organic dried ginger, Zingiber officinale, cut into pieces. The part commonly called ginger root is botanically a rhizome.

Is this ginger powder or crystallised ginger?

This is dried, cut ginger. It is not powder, an instant drink mix or sugar-coated crystallised ginger.

    Does ginger tea contain caffeine?

Pure ginger is naturally caffeine free. This single ingredient tea contains no black or green tea.

How do I make ginger tea stronger?

Use a little more ginger or simmer the pieces for longer. For a milder cup, use less ginger or add water after brewing.

Can I use the cut ginger in cooking?

Yes. Add it to simmered dishes, broths or a homemade spice blend. Allow time for the pieces to soften, or strain them out when you only want the flavour.

Can I make iced ginger tea?

Yes. Brew it with hot water first, strain, cool promptly and refrigerate. Serve over ice with a slice of lemon.

How is dried ginger different from fresh ginger?

Dried ginger has less water and a different flavour profile. Start with a small amount rather than replacing fresh ginger gram for gram.

How should I store ginger root?

Keep sealed in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, strong odours and moisture. Use a dry spoon and follow the best before date on your pack.
