Hot Tips for Waking Up Just Like Pharrell Williams – Because You’re Happy!

Hot Tips for Waking Up Just Like Pharrell Williams – Because You’re Happy!

Now we have your attention with a song that will be stuck on repeat in your head for the rest of the day, let’s get straight to the point. Some people are renowned for starting the day off with more optimism, and a willingness to get stuck straight in, than others. These people are the envy of anyone who struggles to get out of bed and get up smiling.

So, what’s their secret? What are these people doing to start their day on a better foot?

Following are some tips on what you can do to help with setting a productive tone for a positively happy and healthy day too!

    1. Enjoy a glass of water and lemon juice

A squeeze of lemon into a glass of warm water first up in the morning is a great way to rehydrate your body and boost your digestive system.

    1. Think of something that you are grateful for

Thinking of at least one thing that’s positive in your life will set the tone for constructive thoughts for the rest on the day. This could be as simple as reflecting on the great sleep you just enjoyed or being happy with the new dress purchase you made yesterday, or the relaxing bubble bath you mastered last night or seeing your family over the weekend. There is always something that you can be happy about.

    1. Keep off your phone or email

What’s been happening while you were asleep? Those emails, tweets or Facebook feeds can wait another hour or two before they are uncovered. Resist the temptation to sneak a peek before your mind and body are cleared and ready to seep in the news. Save some time aside after breakfast if it really is that urgent.

    1. Get your body warmed up

Take a moment to do a few stretches, some deep, calming breaths and give your body a gentle shake all over. This will help to relax your mind and get your blood circulating, so you don’t step out of the bedroom full of aches and pains.

Take the opportunity to bask in some fresh air outside before you go back to your routine of getting ready for work or the rest of your day. This is great for remembering that you are alive and there is life outside too. Enjoy the moment.

    1. Eat a healthy breakfast

It’s been said numerous times over, but breakfast breaks the fast, and your body needs the correct nourishment in the morning. Oats, eggs and smoothies are all quick, healthy options. These make better starters for your body than a pack of sugary cereal or coffee and toast. A cup of green tea also works wonders to start your day off fresh.

    1. Pump yourself up

Remember, you are your own best asset, and you need to take time to appreciate yourself. Seize a chance in the morning to tell yourself how much you are appreciated. Just before cleaning your teeth makes for the perfect time. Take a quick look in the mirror and give yourself a few encouragements. Something like “my body is full of good energy and strength”, or “I feel great and ready to take on the day”. Believe it or not, this will pump up your mindset and appreciation for just being you.

Follow these easy tips to positivity, and you too will be one of those people who wake up full of energy and ready to take on the world.

If you need help settling down once you get home from a hectic day in the office, try a cup of Bondi Unwind Tea. It’s perfect for when you need to slow and bring your body back to regular speed, and much healthier than a glass of wine or three.
